We ship out orders every Thursday with FedEx. You should expect your package to arrive in 1-2 days. If your package gets delayed, we recommend reaching out to Fedex.
It is normal for the tamales to have some defrosting during transit and are perfectly fine when received and the inner temp is 44 degrees or lower. The tamales can be popped right into the freezer and stay put for up to a year, although they don’t usually last that long with tamale lovers around. If you put them in the fridge they will be good for seven days.
Because Tamales are a frozen product they require special packaging, dry ice & fast 2 day shipping to ensure they stay fresh and frozen through delivery. Our tamales are a specialty product shipped frozen and we understand this price point may not be accessible to all. If the shipping cost deters you, we recommend checking out your local grocer for Tucson Tamales in the frozen foods section!
When steaming on a stovetop, please be sure to use a steamer basket keeping the tamales above the water. Make sure the tamales are standing up with the open end at the top. If you have more room in your steamer then there are tamales, try filling the void with some slightly crumpled aluminum foil.
